I chose to investigate Mickey and Ian’s relationship because it has a tragically lovely quality to it, and has so many different variables deeply interested that I thought it would make for a good study. Both Ian and Mickey contain many life experiences and struggles that simultaneously make up their intersectionality, and also affect their romantic relationships.

NF: Some really chilly moments I've had have been just walking around on the street and having people move into me and recognize me from the show.
EF: Are they scared of you?
NF: They ponder I'm a lot tougher than I am. But I've had several people talk to me about how this kind of a story, being told in this way, is kind of a first and how that's very important to a lot of people. As an star, that's like the pinnacle of what you want to be doing, and Shameless is marvelous for letting us be a part of this gentle of a story. It's been lovely awesome.
