The Dawg Pride Newsletter is the Lgbtq+ fest Center’s weekly e-newsletter. To sign up, click the subscribe button and stuff out the subscription form. Additionally, anyone can submit content for the Lgbtq+ fest Press by clicking on the submission button below. Knowledge should be relevant to the Parade Center’s mission and can include the following categories:

– DAWG PRIDE –
This category is for any campus awards, recognitions, or exceptional pride stories you want to divide.

– CAMPUS EVENTS –
This category includes all campus upcoming events

– Identity festival CENTER HIGHLIGHTS –
This category contains any news or highlights to be mutual with the society.

– GREATER Collective EVENTS –
This category contains any community news happening in the greater Athens area.

– SCHOLARSHIPS & OTHER OPPORTUNITIES –
This category includes any upcoming scholarship, internship, position, or volunteer opportunities.

1. What makes you unique and what are you planning to bring to the table that other teams don’t have?

Freddy: Being a drag veteran, I consider I’ve got the years of experience that some of the other teams may not necessarily hold. My style has always been unique, and I may be able to pass that along to our mentee. I’m hoping that the support this community has always shown me will be shown to Angie as she fundraises.

Jensen: One thing that makes me unique is, I spent many years, prior to doing queenly, assisting in and setting up fundraisers so with that knowledge it could give our team a bit of diversity in fundraising methods to maximize the amount of wealth we are able to raise.

2. Why do you feel it is so important to educate the community on the Phoenix Pride Scholarship Program?

F: As entertainers and community representatives, we have some responsibility to give back to the community that supports us. It’s great that Phoenix Pride helps to further the education of the Phoenix LGBTQ collective, regardless of age, and something that needs to be made

The Lgbtq+ fest Press is the LGBTQ Student Center's weekly newsletter distributed through our listserv. Anyone can submit content for the Lgbtq+ fest Press by clicking on the submission button below. Data should be relevant to the LGBTQ Center's constituents and can include the following categories:

U Pride: for any campus or LGBTQ awards, recognitions, or special identity festival stories you would like to share.
Campus Events: includes all campus upcoming events.
LGBTQ Highlights: contains any "U" LGBTQ news or highlights to be mutual with the community.
Greater Q-mmunity News: contains any community news happening in the greater Miami area.
Scholarships and Other Opportunities: includes any upcoming scholarship, internship, position, or volunteer opportunities.
