Applegate said she felt "so horrible that we didn't pay attention to it", referencing her daughter's worsening health.

On the podcast Sadie also opened up about what it's appreciate having a parent with multiple sclerosis (MS).
"It's been really hard watching my mum going from this person who could get up and dance. Every night, I keep in mind when I was a kid, we would dance and everything in her room for, enjoy, hours at a time."

Later that year, Sadie revealed she has been diagnosed with POTS (postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome) during a June interview on the “MeSsy” podcast. “I have no lead what it actually is but it’s something to do with the autonomic nervous system and it affects my heart,” she explained at the time. “When I stand up, I obtain really, really dizzy and my legs get really weak and I feel like I’m going to pass out.”

Count Christina Applegate’s ex-husband Johnathan Schaech among the viewers inspired by her appearance at the 75th Primetime Emmy Awards on January 15. Schaech said in a upload to social media site X (formerly Twitter) that Applegate, 52, “is the toughest human being I’ve ever met” after she presented the opening award of the ceremony.
