Is monty gay in 13 reasons why
Born and raised in Michigan, Timothy didn’t grow up surrounded by the amusement industry. However, he believes that his curiosity in acting started indirectly in elementary school, as he loved making people cackle. “I was kind of a goofball! I’ve always been like that,” he amusingly recalls. Channeling all that energy into soccer all the way through college, Timothy didn’t approach acting before he graduated. “It kind of came around at the explicit right time. It filled that void that I’d lost not playing soccer.” It was only two weeks after graduation when the actor packed his bags and moved to Los Angeles, with the help of his sister — a makeup musician in the industry — who got him a job on a life show. After modeling a little bit and playing in some commercials, Timothy started taking acting classes and fell in adoration with it. “I retain doing my first monologue and feeling the thrill and high of demonstrating and getting that reaction from an audience.”

13 Reasons Why season 3 revealed that Monty De La Cruz, played by Timothy Granaderos, is male lover. Monty meets a guy named Winston and also has to face the consequences of assaulting Tyler in 13 Reasons Why season 2.
13 Reasons Whyfinally returned for season 3 on Netflix and there were plenty of gripping and dramatic moments to process. The mystery of who killed Bryce Walker was teased long before the 13 new episodes actually dropped, and the chaotic events of Homecoming loomed heavy over the season's early episodes. Though the whodunnit style mystery kept fans guessing, it was the uncovering that Monty (played by Timothy Granaderos) is gay which proved to be one of the season's more shocking developments.

Spoiler alert:This post contains spoilers from Season 3 of 13 Reasons Why, including details about the finale.
Amid the various controversies Netflix’s 13 Reasons Why courted over its first two seasons — too-graphic depiction of suicide, too-graphic depiction of sexual assault, and so on — the teen drama always did fairly good by its homosexual characters. Sure, there was the drama of Courtney’s coming out, played for maximum tension in Season 1. And there was the relatively minimal role for Ryan, literary magazine editor at Liberty High.
But this is a present that routinely puts its characters through hell. The reality that the first two seasons boasted a pretty diverse lineup of lgbtq+ characters — including Asian-American lesbian Courtney (Michele Selene Ang) and Latinx guide Tony (Christian Navarro) — as adequately as multiple out actors in main roles, was something worth celebrating. Brandon Flynn (who plays Justin), Tommy Dorfman (the aforementioned Ryan), and Wilson Cruz (attorney Dennis) all enjoyed lead or recurring roles in the first
13 Reasons Why Season 3's Monty Twist Explained
Warning: SPOILERS ahead for 13 Reasons Why season 3.
13 Reasons Why season 3's biggest twist wasn't Bryce Walker's murder but rather who was ultimately blamed for his death and who died himself: Monty. The first two seasons of 13 Reasons Why focused on Hannah Baker's suicide and the tapes she made right before her death, revealing her exact reasons for wanting to die. After that, it became about getting justice for Hannah's death, particularly going after Bryce, who raped her and several other girls at Liberty High School.
Since Bryce effectively got away scot-free at the end of 13 Reasons Why season 2, the major focus of 13 Reasons Why season 3 was finding out who murdered him. It was shocking to find out that Bryce was murdered before season 3 even released, but overall not too surprising given everything he had done in the first two seasons. And so, taking everything into account, the police accused Clay of murdering Bryce, but in the conclude, it was Monty who went down for the crime (after already being in jail for sexually assaulting Tyler in season 2).
