Pay attention to not just who dalit-queers are or what dalit-queer is - but to what dalit queerness does

This piece comes out of my interviews with 4 brahmin male lover men - all of whom own a complicated affair with manhood and gayness. They name within the spectrum of queerness and are cisgendered recognizing. None of them wear the janeu (the religious revered thread usually worn by brahmin men to signify their social and caste status).
“It’s 2018 and ‘kissing ass’ has come to mean a lot more than currying favour by flattery. Rimming or rim job, essentially oral stimulation for the anus, isn’t something young India is speaking about in bushed tones any longer…there is very little that is making people cringe today, and if rimming has create its way into the ordinary urban sexual vocabulary, anal sex is something Indians aren’t shying away from either…”

Dear Dr Ren,

I’ve recently completed five weeks of meds to get rid of amoebas, contracted from rimming. This is not the first time I’ve gone through this.

The nurse I dealt with basically said, “Nice boys don’t rim anymore, due to this issue.”

Maybe it’s the porn I watch, but it seems that rimming is actually a very common, generally expected (not to mention pleasing) component of the active gay man’s sexual repertoire.

Prized Ass Lover,

Though the nurse’s judgmental remark was undoubtedly good intentioned, it was incorrect on several levels. Nice boys, and naughty boys, as well as girls of many stripes, rim.

It’s also true that rimming carries the uncertainty of transmission not only of amoebas, but also of hepatitis A, genital warts, parasites such as shigella and giardia, and herpes and syphilis if an open area or sore is present.

These nasty complications are not passed just by licking someone’s ass, ei

“Does Flume even consume ass?”

A simple question put to a certain Aussie producer, in the middle of the Burning Man crowd. It has spurned countless takes (both hot and cold) and a renewed interest in the art of ass eating.

Analingus is nothing fresh but there’s certainly been an uptake in awareness and those who partake, in no petty part thanks to the internet. So how do you sense about tossing salad? According to the now defunct Gawker, the practice has been having a renaissance among straight dudes and couples in general.

So for those of you who contain any questions about how to give it a go if you’re anal-curious, The Hook Up enlisted the help of sex educator Louise Bourchier and Dr Jay Daniel Thompson, a researcher and lecturer in media, and gender and sexuality studies at the University of Melbourne.

Do you even eat ass?

“People of any gender and any sexuality can either be the person doing the licking or the person being licked; there’s lots of flexibility,” says Louise Bourchier. “I’d say it’s actually got quite a broad appeal.”

Dr Jay Daniel Thompson, agrees that the stigma surrounding arse eating among st

Sexual health for queer and bisexual men

Having unprotected penetrative sex is the most likely way to pass on a sexually transmitted infection (STI).

Using a condom helps preserve against HIV and lowers the risk of getting many other STIs.

If you’re a man having sex with men (MSM), without condoms and with someone unused, you should have an STI and HIV quiz every 3 months, otherwise, it should be at least once a year. This can be done at a sexual health clinic (SHC) or genitourinary medicine (GUM) clinic. This is important, as some STIs do not lead to any symptoms.

Hepatitis A

Hepatitis A is a liver infection that's spread by a virus in poo.

Hepatitis A is uncommon in the UK but you can receive it through sex, including oral-anal sex ("rimming") and giving oral sex after anal sex. MSM with multiple partners are particularly at risk. You can also get it through contaminated food and drink.

Symptoms of hepatitis A can materialize up to 8 weeks after sex and contain tiredness and feeling sick (nausea).

Hepatitis A is not usually life-threatening and most people make a occupied recovery within a couple of months.

MSM can evade getting hepatitis A by:
