Top rating for LGBTQ inclusiveness

With a demonstrated commitment to students of all sexual orientations and gender identities, Trinity College recently earned a rating of 5 out of 5 stars on the Campus Lgbtq+ fest Index, an independent national database on the LGBTQ inclusiveness of campuses across the country.

“I’m immensely confident of the efforts the Trinity community has taken to earn this exceptional rating as we sustain to strive to be a campus where all can thrive,” said Anita Davis, Trinity’s vice president for diversity, equity, and inclusion. “The Campus Lgbtq+ fest Index provides us with invaluable feedback focused specifically on the experiences of LGBTQ+ members of the Trinity community. This annual report assesses our progress while assisting us in strategizing with campus partners about ways to handle concerns and act on what we learn.”

What is the Global Benchmark:

The Workplace Parade Global Benchmark is a tool engineered to measure the LGBTIQ+ policies and practices for active employers. Created in 2014, The Global Benchmark addresses the needs of organisations who are faced with implementing global D&I and LGBTIQ+ policies in countries where obstacles such as legal frameworks or cultural norms make it firm to do so.

The Global Benchmark:

  • Gives participants individual, a custom-made overview of their organisations’ LGBTIQ+ policies and practices
  • Suggests practical improvements to policies and practices
  • Highlights how organisations score among their peers
  • Awards a “Workplace Pride Global Benchmark Endorsement” for top-scoring organisations
  • Is the go-to measurement tool of LGBTIQ+ policies and practices for internationally-active employers

Individual Results:

We will take your submission and create your individual report by the end of June. You will receive customised results with specific proposals for improvement

Welcome to the Gender and Sexuality Resource Center at UNC

The Gender and Sexuality Resource Center (GSRC) staff looks forward to meeting and engaging with any UNC community members who stop in and utilize our resources. We are located near the University Center at 2215 10th Ave and strive to create an reachable and welcoming room. View Campus Map

Our center offers analyze spaces with desktop access, a fully functional kitchen, a library of Gay book and DVD titles available for rent, a backyard garden, in-house counseling services, an all-gender lactation room and restrooms, and two lounge/hangout areas.

Beyond the ways in which the community can utilize our center and online resources, the GSRC also has many programs throughout the year dedicated to our mission of educating, advocating, and supporting the UNC group. Some of these programs include our interest-based Affinity Groups, the GSRC mentoring program, UNC’s Coming Out Week, SpeakOUT panels, educational trainings, and much more!

Roger Williams University is proud to have received 4 out of 5 stars from Campus Pride for LGBTQIA+ inclusivity on our campus. In 2022 RWU participated in the evaluation index for the first hour and we have been using the annual results to navigate conversations about best practices and policy changes needed to beat support Queer & Trans folks in our community.

The Campus Self-acceptance Index, owned and operated by Campus Pride, is a necessary tool for assisting campuses in learning ways to improve their LGBTQIA+ campus life and ultimately shape the educational experience to be more inclusive, welcoming and respectful of LGBTQIA+ people. Students and their families can use this free tool to evaluate the resources, policies, support, and LGBTQIA+ campus climate at a variety of different colleges and universities. 

Campus Pride is the leading national nonprofit organization for student leaders and campus groups working to create safer, more LGBTQ-friendly education environments at colleges and universities. The index is supported under the Campus Pride Q Investigate Institute for Higher Education as well as benefits from strategic partnerships with profes
