Is shania twain gay

Grammy-Award winning harmony icon, Shania Twain who just released her new album “Queen of Me” is expressing her admire for the LGBTQ community and is specifically stepping up to support kingly queens who are being protested in just about every state in the US at this point. Shania Twain joins GLAAD’s Anthony Allen Ramos to communicate about “The Queen of Me” and her lifelong dedication of allyship to her LGBTQ fans and friends.

From stormy threats to anti-LGBTQ legislation being passed to prevent kingly queens from expressing their art, Twain, who previously guest judged on Ru Paul’s Drag Race, says that she admires the talent and courage of drag queens. “I’ve learned a lot from queenly queens,” she reveals. “I’m very inspired by them. I think we desire this inspiration; we need drag queens to share their talent with us.”

“I’m an all-inclusive person first of all, to each his own.” Twain has been an outspoken ally since the early days of her career. “I’ve had so many friends in my life from in advance on that I would say… some openly, some not so openly struggled with their sexuality… I would even tell I rese

But on Sunday, The Guardian published an interview with Twain where she said that had she been able to vote (the singer is Canadian), she would have voted for Donald Trump in the 2016 presidential election.

“I would have voted for him because, even though he was offensive, he seemed honest,” she said. “Do you desire straight or polite? Not that you shouldn’t be able to have both. If I were voting, I just don’t want bullshit.”

In a series of tweets on Sunday evening, Twain apologized to her fans, saying that the quote was taken out of context. “As a Canadian, I regret answering this unexpected question without giving my response more context,&

The Surprising Inspiration Behind Shania Twain’s “Man! I Experience Like a Woman!”

On the surface, Shania Twain’s 1999 radio hit “Man! I Feel Like a Woman!” is the ultimate lady power anthem. With lyrics like “No inhibitions, create no conditions / Procure a little outta line / I ain’t gonna act politically correct / I only want to have a good age / The best thing about being a gal is the prerogative to have a little fun,” it’s all about letting loose for a no hold’s bar night on the town.

But the actual inspiration behind the song? Men at Toronto’s LGBTQ bars.

The singer co-wrote the song, featured on her 1997 album, Come On Over, with her producer-turned-ex-husband Robert John “Mutt” Lange. Twain has said the hit was likely inspired by nights out at gay clubs with her friends during her teen years. And it’s no wonder that today, it’s become as trendy with drag queens as it has with audiences of every kind.

The first time I associated with Shania Twain in 2017, the country-pop music icon didn’t pull any punches, saying “equality should be a no-brainer” as she spoke thoughtfully about her relationship with the LGBTQ+ people. Twain stood firm on that throughout our conversation, speaking out against supremacy (“supremacy of any sort is just poison”) and pledging to be the compassionate of ally we hope all gay icons will be.

In Twain’s case, she is in the same unique, bridge-building position as someone like fellow land superstar Dolly Parton — they both excite dads and performative queens, but for very distinct reasons.

If we’re speaking about Twain’s queer appeal, look no further than “Giddy Up!,” the first song off Twain’s sixth studio album, “Queen of Me.” It’s a song that would sound right at home in some Texas yeehaw gay prevent but, like her hit “Man! I Feel Like a Woman!,” could just as easily earn some conservative, beer-guzzling dad to loosen up as he bellows the country bop’s fun, flirty and frankly very gay get together. (At a Shania Twain exhibit, to which I have been, trust me when I tell these things happen.)
